A friend writes:

In my office, this one guy, whenever he goes to the can, leaves one unused paper towel on the floor of the foyer between the hall and the men's room. It's pretty weird. He does it every single time, so that at the end of the day, there is one in there for every time he went to the shitter. One day, there were, like, five there. You have to walk over them to get in the men's room. The funny thing is that there is a trash can right there, so these things are lying two feet from the can. When two guys are in the men's room, they are always wondering if the other dude is the paper towel bandit. It took me about a month to figure out who it was but I finally did with carefully timed trips the restroom. I am thinking of writing to Dear Abby to find out what I should do.
